About Andrew

Personal History

Andrew has been engaged in the music industry all his working life, both in music retail and as a piano tuner and technician. He began training in 1986 principally under Mr Geoff Meredith a highly respected Isle of Wight piano tuner and technician at W. Teague and Co, Newport, Isle of Wight. He then went on to receive further training by attending seminars and courses at a national level as well as workshops held by piano manufacturers such as Yamaha and Kemble. Andrew has also qualified as a member of the Pianoforte Tuners' Association, having had to pass both practical and oral examinations in areas of tuning and repairs. He regularly attends the national Pianoforte Tuners' Association Convention where technical classes are held.

In 1989 Andrew was employed as piano tuner and technician for W. Teague and Co. Ltd. on the Isle of Wight, a position he held until 2001 when he started his own business providing the Island with a first class piano tuning and repairs service. Since 2001 the business has grown at a phenomenal rate and now Andrew looks after hundreds of Island pianos. This includes Island residents, music teachers, schools, churches, and at concert and musical venues Island wide.
